Music

There are over 100 students learning an instrument at Te Parito Kōwhai Russley School and we have 6 music teachers coming in to teach our up and coming musicians.

Instrumental lessons are available for students in Teams 2, 3 and 4. Suzuki Violin lessons are available for students in Teams 1, 2, 3 and 4.  If you have any queries regarding music lessons at Russley School contact Mrs Muschamp through the school office.

Ukulele Orchestra is for students in Terms 2, 3 and 4. Rehearsals will be held in the old school hall from 12.45pm every Thursday. Students need to go to the old hall at 12.30pm with their lunch.

North West Festival Choir performs in the North West Festival in Term 2.  The North West Festival Choir is an auditioned choir that is conducted by Mr Chris Walker and accompanied by Mrs Elizabeth Muschamp.

The Primary Schools' Festival Choir performs in the Primary Schools' Festival which held at the Horncastle Arena in Term 4 and we are currently rehearsing once a week for the Festival.  

Te Parito Kōwhai Russley School Orchestra has 31 members in the orchestra and we have a very interesting collection of instruments this year. Glockenspiel, xylophone, guitar, flute, trumpet, violin, piano and percussion sounds can be heard creatively working together in the hall every Wednesday afternoon.
