Earthquake Tips

 
 

Many children will experience symptoms of psychological distress after the recent earthquake and aftershocks.  This is part of a normal and healthy stress response to such a traumatic event.

Below are some links to information that you may find of use in helping yourself and your child to cope.

Possible psychological reactions to an earthquake

This was advice published after the initial earthquake relating to possible anxiety symptoms that children and adults may experience.  It gives suggestions for for coping strategies.
