Syndicate 4 camp to Wainui 17-19 February 2010

"The weather was rubbish but camp activities were brilliant, awesome and challenging"  reported three boys who attended the Year 7-8 camp last week.

"The best part was orienteering in the rain" said Matt, "especially running up and down the hills in the mud.  All the clues we'd written in pen on our arms washed off!"

Abeseiling was a highlight for Bernard.  He said he was initially terrified but he felt proud that he conquered it.

Sam loved abseiling too.  He described it as difficult but afterwards he (along with others!) sang Maccarena and Bob the Builder songs in triumph.

The boys laughed as they recall the "Russley Idol" show held each night.  "We had crazy challenges like putting hair ties in boys' hair.  Sam dressing up as Superman caused a laugh and won him favour with the judges.
