This is a group of parents in our school community who, along with the Principal and a Staff representative, meet monthly in our School staffroom.  These meetings are normally on the first Monday of the month at 7.30pm. 

The PTA are a vital link between our School and the Community and undertake such tasks as distribution of choir uniforms prior to a performance, sport uniforms prior to Zone or Canterbury tournaments, or school jackets to those representing our school in such events as Chess competitions, Cantamath, CEIS competitions etc. 

They organise new parent morning teas, morning tea at our sports day as well as dispensing sunblock, and treat the children with iceblocks at the end of this sometimes long hot day!

They organise school discos twice a year for all students, and on the last day of term hold a hot dog day.

Parent Support  The PTA is looking for new members and in particular a treasurer for 2012.  If you have some financial skills and would like some more information please contact Tracey Bruce of the PTA through the PTA email. Road Patrol Help Required for 2012 The PTA organise a roster every year for parent assistance on the Road Patrol in the mornings before school.  Two students are on patrol before and after school each day.  Parents assist them with their duties in the mornings, our staff assist in the afternoon. As a lot of our parent volunteers leave our roster when their child moves on to High School, we are desperate for helpers to replace them.  Please consider offering your help once or twice a term, your support is very much needed and greatly appreciated. PTA Women's Pamper Evening - Wednesday 6th July
What a fantastic turnout for the PTA Women's Pamper Evening in our school hall last night.  Helen was an amazing and inspirational guest speaker and the selection of stalls there, tempted many with their colourful and useful wares.  What a transformation for our own Mrs Annette Ward by Helen from Tall Poppie. Annette you looked beautiful and we were in awe of all the wonderful things that we learnt about clothing and the tricks to packing a suitcase!  Thanks to the following businesses for supporting the women's pamper night: Couplands for supplying free slices Avonhead Tavern for use of their glasses Avon cosmetics White Hot Jewellery for donating gifts. Well done and thanks to Amanda Thomlinson and the rest of the PTA for putting on this very enjoyable evening for the members of our school community, and thank you to those who came along and supported it.
