

Russley Primary School, established in 1963, is a full primary school in the north-west of Christchurch, New Zealand. The school contributes largely to Riccarton High School.
The roll ranges between 400 - 450 pupils.
The school has an ethnic mix of pupils comprising mainly New Zealanders with the next prominent groups being Chinese and Korean.
The school focuses on innovative pedagogy. Values education is promoted along with quality curriculum programmes.
Russley School prides itself on the high work standards and behaviour achieved by the pupils. Along with effective curriculum teaching the school has strong programmes in sport and extra-curricular e.g. music and drama.
The school has a total of seventeen classrooms, library, hall and computer suite. Playing fields, comprehensive adventure playgrounds and paved court areas are well laid out. A building initiative developed after consultation with the school community starts in 2010. This will provide a new hall/gymnasium facility, revitalise the current hall into a Visual and Performing Arts Centre, upgrade the library and improve the classroom facilities.
The school enjoys the support of a very active and capable Board of Trustees and Parent Teacher Association.
Parents play a vital role and work in partnership with the school to support student learning.
