Each student will be expected to complete the following homework each week:

Syndicate One - a reading book each day.

Syndicate Two - Reading, Spelling and Mathletics every day.

Syndicate Three - Reading, Spelling and Maths activities each week.

Syndicate Four

  • Core Learning Component - Spelling, Maths and Reading as outlined on the worksheet  on the Syndicate 4 Homework page to the left. 
  • PB Awards system - termly options can be found on the download on the Syndicate 4 Homework page to the left.

All Students (links to some websites to practise maths basic facts are in a table below)

Maths

The Basic Facts Wall
Students who have been identified as requiring additional support in this area will be provided with basic facts wall activities intead of weekly maths.  Other students are welcome to complete activities independently if they wish.  The basic facts wall document is available by clicking here

Homework Challenges for Syndicate Two & Three - Term 4 2011.

There are also challenges which you can choose to complete throughout the year.  If you choose to do so you must complete at least four (you can do more).  These challenges are accessed by clicking on your Syndicate page to the left.

  1. Pick one challenge from any category. 

  2. Some challenges have a word document attached.  Clicking on this attachment will take you to the Guide Sheet.  Print off this sheet and fill it out in your own handwriting. The sheet will explain what you need to do for this particular activity.

  3. One challenge must be completed each term. 

  4. Your teacher will set due dates for the completion of homework challenges.

  5. The classroom teacher will assess your challenge.

At the end of the year all students who complete four challenges to the required standard will receive a certificate. 

We hope that you and your family will value these certificates and also enjoy completing the challenges.
